Additive technologies or Additive Manufacturing (AM-technologies) is a generalized name for technologies that involve the manufacture of a product according to a digital model (or CAD model) by layer-by-layer addition (add, English - add, hence the name) material. Today it is one of the most dynamically developing areas of "digital" production. Additive technologies make it possible to expedite R&D and the solution of pre-production problems by an order of magnitude, and in some cases they are already actively used for the production of finished products in metallurgy and mechanical engineering.
