Application

The Microwave Sample Preparation Technique, or Microwave Amplified Chemistry, has been developed for over 10 years for use in the preparation of samples for chemical analysis. The WR series, designed and manufactured by Michem Instrumentation Ltd., Beijing, has been successfully supplied to hundreds of laboratories throughout China.
The WR Series of Sample Preparation Systems (sample preparation systems), with open or closed vessels, allows fast and comprehensive liquid digestion of organic and inorganic samples under controlled high pressure and high temperature.

WR Series products are widely applied in the field of analytical sample preparation, which can be used for digestion, digestion, protein digestion, organic synthesis, etc. More and more laboratories are using a microwave sample preparation system as a replacement for traditional electric heating plates, which require high cost and energy costs and are highly contaminated. In fact, the WR Series Sample Preparation System is ideal for related analysis instruments such as: Atomic Absorption Spectrometer (AAS), High Frequency Plasma Emission Spectrograph (ICP-AES), High Performance Liquid Chromatograph (HPLC), High Frequency Plasma Mass Spectrograph (ICP -MS), Gas Chromatograph (GC), etc.

Characteristics

  • In terms of decomposition, the sample dissolution rate with microwave enhanced chemical technology is 10 to 100 times faster than with electrical heating plates.
  • Best digestion results when heated with microwaves under high pressure applied to a closed vessel, the sample decomposes completely, especially apparently non-decomposable samples.
  • The digestion of the sample takes place in a vessel with a scale and the loss of volatile elements is drastically reduced, thus more accurate results are obtained.
  • Uses fewer reagents, reduces blanks and sample background.
  • The decomposition process itself takes place in closed conditions, no pollution, does not affect the environment and human health.
  • Remarkable energy saving effect, saving up to 80% of energy compared to conventional method.

Structure

  • The WR series of sample preparation systems has two types of microwave oven systems: model 3 at 28 liters and model 4 at 43 liters.
  • Coating - patented PFA, acid-resistant cavity at high temperatures.
  • The microwave filter is used on the outside of the oven, and the leakage of microwave radiation is exceeding the standard.
  • The fan in the cavity is connected to the outer chimney.
  • The sample vessel in the cavity is controlled by a reversible electric motor rotating back and forth 360? for uniform distribution of microwave radiation in the sample vessel.
  • At the bottom of the microwave oven is a pressure sensor and an electrical circuit for temperature measurement and control.
  • Output energy is constant, short measurement interval, more stable microwave output.

Control

TA model: PC and controller connection, real-time control and display of temperature and pressure curves, set and add the work program by yourself, store additional programs at will.
TC model: single chip microcomputer, temperature and pressure control, real-time display of operating temperature and pressure, addition by 8-step program, controlled by the reliability and maintainability program, storing 15 additional programs.
Model TE: Single chip microcomputer, temperature and pressure control, real-time display of operating temperature and pressure, controlled by reliability and maintainability program, one-step operation.

Sample vessel

  • Double Wall Insulated Vessel Material: Outer Vessels - PEEK&Fiberglass; Inner Vessels - Thin Film Microguide.
  • Model T: double-walled reduced pressure vessel. Volume: 90 ml, maximum working pressure - 1.4 MPa (resistance 4.0 MPa), working temperature - 200C.
  • Model H: Double wall reduced pressure vessel. Volume: 80 ml, maximum working pressure - 3.5 MPa (resistance 5.0 MPa), working temperature - 230C (maximum - 250C).
  • Model B: 100 ml bottle, suitable for model 4.
